Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last updated: 20 July 2026
At Rive & Rituel, each order is prepared with care and dispatched from Switzerland. Many of our garments are individually produced in our Geneva atelier, meaning that the time required to create an order is separate from the carrier’s delivery time.
This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to orders placed directly through the Rive & Rituel website. Orders placed through Zalando, Wolf & Badger or another third-party retailer are governed by that retailer’s individual shipping and delivery terms.
Business Days
Orders are processed and dispatched on local Swiss business days, Monday to Friday, excluding Swiss public holidays and days on which our atelier, fulfilment partners or carriers are closed.
Orders placed during weekends or public holidays will begin processing on the next available business day.
References to “business days” throughout this policy do not include Saturdays, Sundays or applicable public holidays.
Order Processing
All orders will ordinarily enter processing within one business day of being received.
Order processing may include:
- Payment authorisation
- Fraud-prevention or security checks
- Verification of the delivery address
- Confirmation of product, size and colour availability
- Review of measurements or customisation details
- Preparation of the order for production or fulfilment
Processing within one business day does not mean that the garment will be produced or dispatched within one business day.
We may contact you where additional information is required before an order can proceed. Production and fulfilment may be delayed until the requested information has been received.
Made-to-Order Production
Many Rive & Rituel garments are made individually following purchase rather than being selected from mass-produced stock.
Most orders begin production within approximately one to two business days after the order has been accepted and payment has been successfully authorised.
Standard made-to-order garments will ordinarily leave our Geneva atelier within approximately three to four business days, unless another production estimate is displayed on the product page or confirmed to you separately.
Production may take longer for:
- Made-to-measure garments
- Bespoke or personalised orders
- Non-standard sizing requests
- Custom colour combinations
- Complex designs or alterations
- Larger orders
- Group or event orders
- Orders placed during exceptionally busy periods
- Products requiring additional quality-control work
Where we become aware of a material production delay, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you using the details supplied with your order.
Production times are estimates rather than guaranteed dispatch dates unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Dispatch Confirmation
You will ordinarily receive a dispatch confirmation once your parcel has left our atelier or has been accepted by the carrier.
Where tracking is available, your dispatch confirmation will include a tracking link or tracking number.
Tracking information may take some time to become active after the shipping label has been created. The creation of a shipping label does not necessarily mean that the carrier has physically collected or scanned the parcel.
Shipping Carriers
Orders are generally delivered through trusted postal and courier partners, including:
- DHL Express
- Swiss Post
- Their local delivery partners
The carrier used may vary depending on:
- The delivery destination
- Parcel size and value
- Service availability
- Customs requirements
- The shipping option selected at checkout
We may use another suitable carrier where reasonably necessary to complete delivery.
Shipping Rates
All available shipping rates are calculated and displayed at checkout before payment is submitted.
Shipping charges may vary according to:
- Delivery destination
- Parcel weight or dimensions
- Selected delivery speed
- Carrier availability
- Order value
- Customs or documentation requirements
- Promotional shipping offers
The shipping amount displayed and accepted during checkout will ordinarily apply to that order.
Any import duties, destination taxes, brokerage fees or customs charges that are not expressly included at checkout are separate from the Rive & Rituel shipping charge.
International Shipping
Rive & Rituel ships internationally to the destinations made available at checkout.
Available destinations and shipping services may change according to carrier coverage, customs restrictions, international sanctions, local regulations or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where your destination does not appear at checkout, or a shipping rate is not displayed, please contact us at:
bonjour@revederiveswimwear.com
Please include your country, postcode and the product you wish to order. We will confirm whether delivery can be arranged and whether any additional shipping requirements apply.
Contacting us does not guarantee that we will be able to ship to a destination that is unavailable through the website.
Estimated Delivery Times
Delivery estimates begin once production has been completed and the parcel has been collected or accepted by the carrier.
Our general estimated carrier delivery periods are:
-
Switzerland: approximately 1 to 2 business days
-
Europe: approximately 2 to 5 business days
-
United Kingdom: approximately 2 to 5 business days
-
United States and Canada: approximately 3 to 7 business days
-
Other international destinations: approximately 5 to 10 business days
These estimates apply after dispatch and do not include made-to-order production time.
Delivery estimates are provided for guidance and are not guaranteed unless a guaranteed service has been expressly purchased and confirmed.
Remote locations, islands and destinations requiring additional customs processing may take longer.
Customs, Import Duties and Taxes
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, local sales taxes, handling charges or carrier brokerage fees imposed by the destination country.
Unless the checkout expressly states that duties and taxes are included, these charges are not included in the product price or shipping rate paid to Rive & Rituel.
The recipient is responsible for:
- Any destination-country duties or taxes
- Customs-clearance charges
- Carrier brokerage or handling fees
- Supplying information requested by customs or the carrier
- Ensuring that the ordered products may lawfully be imported
Customs charges are determined by the relevant authority or carrier and are outside our direct control.
Rive & Rituel cannot declare an order at an artificially reduced value or falsely describe a commercial purchase as a gift.
Where an order is refused, abandoned or returned because the recipient does not pay the required customs charges or provide the information necessary for clearance, reasonable return, customs and reshipping costs may be charged to the customer or deducted from any amount otherwise due, where permitted by law.
Original shipping charges, customs duties and import taxes are not ordinarily refundable by Rive & Rituel unless required by applicable law.
Accurate Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information when placing an order.
This includes:
- The recipient’s full name
- Building or house number
- Street name
- Apartment, suite or floor number
- Postal or ZIP code
- City and country
- Telephone number
- Company, hotel, reception or concierge details
- Any information required for delivery access
Please review this information carefully before completing checkout.
Rive & Rituel is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries or additional costs caused by incomplete or incorrect information supplied by the customer, except where we have contributed to the error.
Changes to a Delivery Address
Please contact us immediately if you need to amend your delivery address.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist where the order has not yet entered fulfilment or been dispatched. An address change is not confirmed until it has been acknowledged by us in writing.
Once a parcel has been prepared, transferred to the carrier or dispatched, we may be unable to alter the address.
Where the carrier agrees to redirect a parcel, additional charges or delays may apply. The customer may be responsible for reasonable redirection or reshipping charges caused by an incorrect address originally supplied with the order.
Tracking Your Parcel
Customers are responsible for monitoring the tracking information supplied after dispatch.
Tracking may show:
- Collection from our atelier
- Transit between carrier facilities
- Customs processing
- Delivery attempts
- Transfer to a local delivery partner
- Availability at a collection point
- Confirmation of delivery
Please contact the carrier promptly where tracking requests action, payment, customs information or collection.
Carrier notifications may be sent by email, text message or telephone using the contact details supplied with the order.
Delivery Attempts and Collection Points
The carrier may require:
- A signature
- Proof of identity
- Payment of import charges
- Collection from a service point
- Additional delivery instructions
- Confirmation of a safe place
Where a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the carrier may attempt delivery again or transfer the parcel to a local collection point.
Customers are responsible for collecting the parcel within the carrier’s stated period and following any instructions provided.
Rive & Rituel cannot guarantee the number or timing of delivery attempts made by an independent carrier.
Safe Places, Neighbours and Reception Areas
Where the customer instructs or authorises the carrier to leave a parcel:
- In a nominated safe place
- With a neighbour
- At a reception or concierge desk
- In a parcel locker
- At a collection point
- At another authorised location
Delivery to that location may be treated as completed, subject to applicable law.
Customers should only authorise delivery to a place they consider secure.
Where a customer independently changes the carrier’s delivery instructions after dispatch, Rive & Rituel may not be responsible for loss or damage caused by those revised instructions, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
Uncollected or Refused Parcels
Where a parcel is returned to us because:
- It was not collected
- Delivery was repeatedly unsuccessful
- The recipient refused delivery
- Import charges were not paid
- Required customs information was not supplied
- The address provided was incorrect or incomplete
We will contact the customer after the parcel has been returned and inspected.
The customer may be required to pay reasonable costs associated with:
- Return transportation
- Customs clearance
- Carrier handling
- Address correction
- Reshipping the order
A parcel being returned to us does not automatically cancel the order or create a right to a cash refund.
Any available remedy will be determined in accordance with our Terms of Service, our Exchange, Store Credit & Statutory Returns Policy and applicable law.
Delivery Delays
Although we work with established carriers, delivery may occasionally be delayed by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:
- Customs inspections
- Severe weather
- Strikes or industrial action
- Transport disruption
- Public holidays
- Border closures
- Carrier-network congestion
- Incorrect delivery information
- Remote-area service limitations
- Local emergencies
- Government restrictions
- Security incidents
- Events affecting our atelier or delivery partners
We will provide reasonable assistance where a parcel is delayed, but we cannot guarantee that a carrier will deliver within an estimated timeframe.
A delay does not automatically entitle a customer to compensation or cancellation where delivery remains possible, except where such a remedy is required by applicable law.
Parcels Marked as Delivered
Where tracking shows that a parcel has been delivered but you cannot locate it, please:
- Check the delivery address shown on your order confirmation
- Check any nominated safe place
- Ask members of your household
- Check with neighbours, reception, concierge or building management
- Review any photograph or delivery note supplied by the carrier
- Contact the carrier for further delivery information
- Contact Rive & Rituel if the parcel remains missing
Please notify us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can investigate with the carrier.
Carrier investigations may require the recipient to provide a written statement, identification or additional information. Failure to cooperate with a reasonable investigation may prevent the carrier from accepting the claim.
A delivery scan will be reviewed as part of the investigation but will not automatically determine the outcome where there is evidence that the parcel was misdelivered.
Lost Parcels
A parcel will not ordinarily be treated as lost while it remains within the carrier’s active delivery or investigation period.
Where tracking has stopped updating or delivery is significantly overdue, please contact us so that we can raise an enquiry with the carrier.
If the carrier confirms that the parcel has been lost, Rive & Rituel will provide an appropriate remedy according to the circumstances and applicable law. This may include:
- Sending a replacement
- Reproducing a made-to-order garment
- Issuing store credit
- Providing a refund where required or agreed
Replacement items remain subject to fabric, colour and production availability.
Parcels Damaged in Transit
If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please photograph:
- The unopened outer packaging
- The shipping label
- Any tears, crushing or water damage
- The interior packaging
- The affected garment or product
Please contact us promptly and retain all packaging until the matter has been reviewed.
Do not wear, wash, alter or repair a garment believed to have been damaged in transit.
We may require photographs or other evidence to submit a claim to the carrier. Our response will be governed by our Terms of Service, Exchange, Store Credit & Statutory Returns Policy and applicable consumer law.
Partial Shipments
Where an order contains several products, we may dispatch the items separately where:
- Products have different production periods
- A product requires bespoke work
- One item is temporarily delayed
- Separate fulfilment improves delivery efficiency
- Different carriers or packaging are required
Where an order is divided into more than one parcel by Rive & Rituel, the customer will not ordinarily be charged an additional shipping fee unless this was agreed in advance.
Separate tracking information may be provided for each parcel.
Combining Orders
Orders placed separately are not automatically combined.
We may combine orders where:
- They have not yet entered fulfilment
- They are addressed to the same recipient and destination
- The carrier and customs arrangements permit it
- The customer has requested the combination promptly
We cannot guarantee that combined shipping will be possible or that separately paid shipping charges can be credited once processing has begun.
Cancelling an Order After Dispatch
An order cannot be cancelled through the shipping process once it has been dispatched.
Refusing delivery does not constitute an authorised cancellation or exchange request.
Customers wishing to exercise an applicable cancellation, return or exchange right must follow the procedure set out in our Exchange, Store Credit & Statutory Returns Policy.
Unauthorised refusal may result in return, customs or carrier charges being deducted from any amount otherwise due, where legally permitted.
Third-Party Retailer Orders
This policy applies only to orders purchased directly from Rive & Rituel.
If you purchased through:
- Zalando
- Wolf & Badger
- An authorised stockist
- A department store
- Another online marketplace or retailer
Please contact the retailer that accepted your payment.
That retailer is responsible for providing its applicable shipping information, tracking support and delivery remedies. Rive & Rituel cannot directly refund shipping fees or replace an order processed by another retailer unless a separate arrangement has been confirmed.
Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, provided that we take reasonable steps to reduce their effect.
Where an event materially affects production or delivery, we may:
- Contact you with a revised estimate
- Offer an available alternative
- Delay fulfilment until performance becomes possible
- Cancel the affected part of the order where performance becomes impossible
- Provide any remedy required by applicable law
Nothing in this section removes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your Statutory Rights
This policy explains our normal processing, production, dispatch and delivery arrangements.
Nothing within it excludes, restricts or replaces any consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where applicable law provides stronger protections concerning delivery, delay, loss, damage or cancellation, those protections will take precedence over any conflicting part of this policy.
